Zyumm Driver — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HavOdds Private Limited (“Zyumm”, “we”) collects, uses, shares and protects your information in the Zyumm Driver app for delivery partners (riders). It is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
For deletion, see Delete your driver account.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Zyumm Driver app. By signing in and using the app to receive and complete deliveries, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Account: name, mobile number, email (optional), and profile details.
- KYC / identity (required to be verified before you can go online): government ID — Aadhaar number and Aadhaar/PAN/driving-licence images; a verification selfie; vehicle details with registration (RC), insurance and pollution (PUC) documents; and an emergency contact.
- Bank details for payouts: account holder name, account number, IFSC and a bank proof (passbook/cheque).
- Location data — precise/GPS location collected while you are online and while a delivery is in progress, including in the background (Section 5).
- Device & usage data — device model, OS, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers and the Advertising ID (via Firebase Analytics), and diagnostic/crash logs.
- Delivery & communications — orders you are offered and complete, and calls with customers/restaurants/support (calls may be masked for privacy).
3. Device permissions
- Location (including “Allow all the time”) — to match you to nearby orders and share your live location during an active delivery, even when the app is in the background or the screen is off. A prominent in-app notice is shown before we request this.
- Camera — to capture your verification selfie and KYC document photos.
- Notifications — to alert you to new delivery offers and order updates.
- Phone (dialer) — to call the customer or restaurant for a delivery.
You can revoke any permission in device settings; related features will then stop working.
4. How we use your information
- Match you to nearby orders, route deliveries and enable live tracking.
- Verify your identity and eligibility (KYC) and calculate and pay your earnings.
- Provide support, resolve disputes, ensure safety and prevent fraud.
- Send delivery and account notifications, and improve the app.
- Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
5. Location data (including background)
Zyumm Driver collects your location while you are online — to match you with nearby orders, and to share your live location with the customer and Zyumm during an active delivery — including when the app is closed or not in use, so the customer can track the order and get an accurate ETA. If you go offline while a delivery is in progress, location continues until that delivery is complete, and then stops. Location is not collected when you are offline with no delivery in progress. A visible, ongoing notification is shown the whole time.
6. Selfie / face data
During verification you complete a short liveness check (e.g. blink/turn). The face detection runs on your device (Google ML Kit); no face template or biometric vector is created, uploaded or stored. The selfie photograph is uploaded and stored to verify your identity and prevent fraud, and is kept private (only you and authorised Zyumm staff can access it).
8. Retention & account deletion
We keep your data while your account is active and thereafter as required for legal, tax, settlement, dispute and fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion in the app (Account → menu → Delete account) or as described on Delete your driver account. On completion we remove or anonymise your personal/contact data; your KYC identity, payout and settlement records are retained only as long as the law requires and to prevent a banned rider re-registering with the same identity.
9. How we protect your data
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and monitoring, and serve KYC documents and selfies only to you and authorised staff over short-lived, authenticated links. No system is 100% secure; keep your login credentials confidential.
10. Your rights
Subject to law (including the DPDP Act, 2023), you may access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below). Email grievance.zyumm@gmail.com to exercise a right; we may verify your identity first. Deletion does not remove records we must keep by law.
11. Age
The Zyumm Driver app is only for delivery partners aged 18 and over who are legally permitted to work.
