Delete Your Account & Data
You can ask us to delete your Zyumm account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what is removed, and what we are legally required to keep. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Delete your account online
Uninstalled the app? You can still delete your account here. We verify it’s really you with a one-time code sent to your registered mobile number.
1. Delete directly in the app (fastest)
Zyumm (customer) app: open Profile → Delete account and confirm. Your request is recorded immediately and your account enters a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request from the same screen and keep your account. Our team may review and complete it sooner; if you take no action, the account and personal data are automatically deleted at the end of the grace period.
Zyumm Driver and Zyumm Restaurant partners: because partner accounts involve KYC, payouts and settlement records, please request deletion via email/phone (below) so we can verify your identity and settle any pending dues before closing the account.
2. Request deletion by email or phone
Prefer not to use the app? Email grievance.zyumm@gmail.com — or call +91 63776 88547 — from the address or phone number registered to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on the request, to protect your data from unauthorised deletion.
3. What gets deleted
Once verified and processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise:
- Your profile (name, email, phone, profile photo) and saved addresses.
- Your preferences, saved payment tokens held by us, and marketing consents.
- Your reviews and ratings are disassociated from your identity.
- For partners: KYC documents and bank details, once no longer required for legal, settlement or dispute purposes.
4. What we must retain (and why)
Some records cannot be deleted immediately because the law requires us to keep them. These are retained only as long as required and are not used to re-create your account:
- Transaction & invoice records — for the periods required under Indian tax, GST and company law.
- Records needed for an ongoing dispute, refund, or legal/regulatory obligation, or to prevent fraud and abuse.
When these obligations end, the remaining data is deleted or anonymised.
5. Timeline
When you request deletion in the app, the request is recorded immediately and held for a 30-day grace period so you can change your mind. Our team may approve and complete it sooner; otherwise it is completed automatically at the end of the grace period. Eligible personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised on completion, except for the records we are legally required to retain (Section 4). If you have questions, contact grievance.zyumm@gmail.com or our Grievance Officer below.
6. Grievance Officer
For any complaint about account deletion or your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer (per the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the IT Intermediary Guidelines Rules, 2021):
