Delete Your Zyumm Driver Account & Data
You can ask us to delete your Zyumm Driver (delivery partner) account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what we are legally required to keep. It supplements our Driver Privacy Policy.
1. Delete directly in the app (fastest)
Open the Zyumm Driver app, go to the Account tab, tap the menu (top-right) and choose Delete account — it is also available as a button on your verification-status screen. Confirm the request.
Your request is recorded and your account enters a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel it from the same screen and keep your account. Because driver accounts involve KYC, payouts and settlement, our team settles any pending earnings/dues and verifies your identity before the account is closed.
2. Request deletion by email or phone
Prefer not to use the app? Email grievance.zyumm@gmail.com — or call +91 63776 88547 — from the phone number or email registered to your driver account, with the subject “Delete my driver account”. We may verify your identity before acting, to protect your data from unauthorised deletion.
3. What gets deleted
Once verified and processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise:
- Your profile — name, email, phone number and profile details.
- Your device (push) tokens and login sessions.
- Your KYC document images and verification selfie, once they are no longer required for legal, settlement, dispute or fraud-prevention purposes.
4. What we must retain (and why)
Some records cannot be deleted immediately. They are kept only as long as required, and are not used to market to you:
- Earnings, payout and settlement records and transaction/invoice records — for the periods required under Indian tax, GST and company law.
- Identity records needed to prevent fraud — so a rider who was removed for fraud or serious misconduct cannot simply delete the account and re-register with the same Aadhaar/PAN/bank details. This is a lawful, disclosed fraud-prevention purpose.
- Records needed for an ongoing dispute or legal/regulatory obligation.
When these obligations end, the remaining data is deleted or anonymised.
5. Timeline
An in-app request is held for a 30-day grace period so you can change your mind; our team may complete it sooner after settling dues, otherwise it completes automatically at the end of the grace period. Email/phone requests are actioned after identity verification and settlement. Questions? Contact our Grievance Officer below.
